Aromatherapy can lighten up any space.

Typically, we incorporate aromatherapy into a space through the use of essential oils. Is there another way to achieve this? This first hack will have your home smelling its best! Take some orange and lemon peels and boil them on the stove. This will invite the sweet smell of citrus into a space.

For some extra spice, add 2-3 sticks of cinnamon into the pot. This will give your aromatherapy concoction a twist to create the ultimate scent.

This hack is especially useful in the fall time, as it captures the essence of the season through scent.

  1. Use Caulk Under Rugs

Rugs that slip around can be a pain for anyone.

Not only are they a pain, they can put ourselves or loved ones in harm's way. Prevent slippery rugs by using caulk! How can this help?

Simply line the bottom of the rug with a few lines of caulk. The edges and middle are the best spots to line for any rug shape. The caulk will act as grip against the floor, preventing it from sliding about. Lining the rugs in the areas suggested will provide maximum protection by gripping the flooring from each angle.

A genius way to rid walls of crayon markings is through the use of a blow dryer. In using a blow dryer, you are melting the wax from solid to liquid form. Once the crayon markings have reached this state, you can simply wipe the melted wax away to reveal crayon-free walls.

You can order a pack of lights from Amazon. Amazon offers a variety of LED lights for various needs, including waterproof sets. Some offer as many as 20 colors with remote control operation!

Choose a set of lights that you like and add them to spaces around your home.

The answer lies in olive oil! Soak a cotton pad in some olive oil and hold it against the sticky residue for a minute or so. Next, wipe to remove the sticky residue. The oil helps break down this barrier to free your containers from the sticky film. Give it a try!

A wine cork can actually aid in this moment. Take a wine cork and slice it in the middle about halfway through. Next, neatly fold the bag you are trying to seal down. After this, slide the sliced cork across the folded edge of the bag to seal.

This is a great way to recycle old wine corks!

For water bottles, simply place the bottles on their bellies and stack. The narrow design of the magazine holders will keep the bottles together and properly organized.
